You may have an adventure elopement far from home but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep your bridal bouquet. There are so many unique ideas on how to preserve the magic from your day whether you do it on your own or leave it to a professional to bring your vision to life.
If you take them home with you, consider pressing them before your trip so you could place them into a glass-framed wall hanging when you get home. You can also get them placed in a shadow box for your wall or dresser and even add in lace from your dress, the bouquet ribbon, or part of your veil. Here is a picture of a bridal bouquet Lily of the Valley created for one of our Helicopter elopements. The bride dried and framed the flowers herself!
Irey Made creates quality, customized gold-filled necklaces, and earrings with florals from your wedding bouquet. The creator, Kristian Irey is located in Anchorage and is as well an amazing photographer. If this is something you would like to do, I’m more than happy to arrange the floral delivery to the creator.
Soil + Soul Studio can preserve your flowers into a ring holder, glass frame, and much more! I love their concept because they keep the fresh flower color! Here is a picture of one of our elopement’s Bridal Bouquets that the bride had Soil + Soul studio create for her.
Oh Clay Designs is Alaskan women own business that creates handmade floral jewelry and home decor. I highly recommend checking out their Instagram to have a handmade creation made for you!
Preservation Press is one of the many talented businesses I can recommend that creates unique and skilled art pieces out of pressed botanicals. She takes the petals from the flowers and creates a picture of something new to represents you two!
A simple, but beautiful way to preserve your bouquet is to hang your flowers upside down to dry. After the flowers are dried, you can arrange the flowers to your liking and make a smaller bouquet and hang them on your wall or put them in a vase in your home.
While having your wedding bouquet painted is not preserving the actual flowers, it’s still an amazing way to preserve the bouquet. Have your favorite artist paint your wedding flowers or find an artist on Etsy. One of our talented Wild Hearts brides painted the picture below of her Alaskan Helicopter Adventure elopement!
My biggest tip is deciding how you’d like this made in advance before your wedding so the proper arrangements can be made if you’re getting it professionally worked on. We can get your bouquet sent out right after the ceremony while the flowers are still beautiful and fresh so they’re easier to preserve.
